One founding supporter, named for one year
Stable Tape will name one founding supporter for one agreed year. There are no tiers or optional placements. Every candidate must pass the conflict screen below.
A daily benchmark takes time and money. Founding-year support helps Stable Tape publish every day and keep access free.

Support helps pay for the work behind the publication:
Support is for Stable Tape as a whole, never a particular dataset, source, reading, record, entity or report.
We name the founding supporter here for the agreed year. Support also includes:
Support buys no place beside the record and no say in the work.
A supporter's name, logo or other identifier never appears with a hash, provenance stamp, dated reading or citation.
Every candidate is screened for conflicts, including how the relationship would look to a reasonable reader.
No supporter gets around the conflict rule by paying more.
A data licence is not sponsorship.
A data customer is not named as a supporter and has no editorial role or influence. A licence does not fill the founding supporter position.
Support includes no discount or preference on data rights. Licences are agreed separately.
We choose what to measure, which sources meet the published method, what to conclude, when to publish and when to correct or withdraw.
The full rule is in the published methodology.
To support Stable Tape, write to hello@stabletape.com. We check for conflicts before accepting support. Data licensing is a separate agreement.
